The spring sailing race week, organized by the Göcek Yacht Club in May every year, will be held in Fethiye Bay this year between 17-21 May 2021. The event program, which was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, will be held with a limited number of boats compared to previous years, unfortunately, this year, due to the fact that it is just after the full closing period and especially in a period when flights with Russia are canceled. Although nearly 100 boats were pre-registered to participate in the race week, the participation was limited to 25 boats and 178 sailors due to cancellations in the flights.
Due to the Covid epidemic, there will be no events other than the race during the race week, where the measures determined by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Turkish Sailing Federation will be implemented with great precision. Within the scope of the measures; A total of 6 races are planned during the race week, where captain information meetings, dinners, entertainment and cup ceremonies will not be held.

This year, as every year, D-Marin Göcek will host the participating boats in its marina as the main sponsor. Jova Heater, the only manufacturer of boat heating system produced in Turkey, also sponsored the day cup. Enka Holding, which has been supporting the sailing races organized by Göcek Yacht Club for many years, will also give a special award to a race to be organized on behalf of Şarık Tara.
Göcek Yacht Club officials stated that after the last two race weeks held under pandemic conditions, they hope to return to the old glorious race days at the 19th Autumn Race Week and Atatürk Cup to be held in November.
