22. Göcek Autumn Race Week Atatürk Cup Races Completed

The Autumn Sailing Race Week, organized by Göcek Yacht Club every November, was held in Fethiye Gulf this year between 04-08 November 2024.

A total of 763 sailors from 17 countries completed the races organized in 8 different groups in the race week, which was held with the participation of 90 boats based on the 91 boat registrations that were made online.

The boats competed in 8 different divisions: IRC 1, IRC 2, IRC 3, IRC 4, IRC 5, – IRC CHARTER 1, IRC CHARTER 2, IRC CHARTER 3.
After the registrations were completed on Monday, November 4, 2024, the race week started with the Opening Cocktail organized by Göcek D-Resort in the evening of the same day. During the week where 6 out of 6 races planned between November 4-8, 2024 were successfully completed, the following cups were awarded to the race winners of the day and the racers who ranked in the top 3 in Overall at the dinner and award ceremonies held at night.

• IRC Group 1 Winner Team – Lagertha
• IRC Group 2 Winner Team – Rossko Racer
• IRC Group 3 Winner Team – Bogatry
• IRC Group 4 Winner Team – Zacapa
• IRC Group 5 Winner Team – Ivana
• IRC Charter 1 Group Winner Team – Imagine
• IRC Charter 2 Group Winner Team – Capella II
• IRC Charter 3 Group Winner Team – Orion

The Göcek Yacht Club Special Cup was given to Timofey ZHBANKOV and his team with the Rossko Racer boat, who achieved the best time in the IRC 2-IRC 3 Groups, The ATATÜRK Special Cup was given to Selim KAKIŞ and his team with the Zacapa boat, who achieved the best time in the IRC 4-IRC 5 Groups.

For many years, D Marin, D Resort and Serenity Yachting companies, which have supported the sailing races organized by Göcek Yacht Club, gave the racers a cup for a race organized in their name.
One of our local supporters, Servet Şekerleme, also gave the racers a cup for a day. The 22nd Göcek Autumn Race Week commemorated Atatürk with the Atatürk Cup held on the 3rd day. Thanks to the races that grow with increasing participants every year and the local supporters and sponsors who make great contributions to Göcek Yacht Club, the 22nd GÖCEK FALL RACE WEEK was completed successfully.
